Following the success of the first workshop in Lyon, KNX France again invited to an ETS 5 workshop on 22nd of June, this time organized at the UIT University of Nimes, in this way ensuring to be able to address the large installer and integrator community in the south of France.
As usual the workshop started off with a small introduction of the KNX France President, Mr. De Carné, followed by news from KNX International: during his presentation, Mr. Demarest explained the implications of the support of Radio Frequency in the new ETS, presented some figures on the growth of the KNX community and also informed about upcoming KNX/ETS novelties, including KNX data security, ETS Tablet and ETS Core. After this presentation, representatives from Rexel and Siemens informed on the positive effects on energy efficiency in buildings when using automation in general and KNX in particular.
The workshop was rounded off with a presentation from one of the most prominent KNX tutors in France, Mr. Klotz of Lextrem, who gave a very detailed tour of the new features of the ETS 5 software. KNX France has already announced that it plans to organize a third conference on ETS 5 in the last quarter of the year, this time most likely in the north of France, i.e. in the city of Lille.
