VIVO Kocab

KOCAB KNX is a tunneling and routing device. It can be used as line or backbone coupler and provides a data connection between the upper KNXnet/IP line (main line or backbone) and the lower TP KNX bus line (sub line). Kocab KNX is mainly used to couple the Ethernet line with KNX-TP line(s). Kocab provides galvanic isolation between the two connected lines. Thanks to Kocab’s flexibility, the coupler can be used as a line coupler, for example to connect several TP lines together trough Ethernet, as a backbone coupler to connect several TP areas trough Ethernet or to connect different TP installations/ systems. The main task of Kocab KNX is filtering the traffic according to the installation position in the hierarchy or according to the built-in filter tables for group-oriented communication. Kocab KNX can be used together with the ETS as a programming interface. The device provides an additional individual address for this purpose which can be used for a tunneling connection. Kocab can also connect two separate installations/systems. You can check the status or update the device through a common browser using the device IP: http://192.168.0.8:8080.
