Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation
Innovation

Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Controlling the Functions of the Labs in a Technical School in Greece, using KNX, CODESYS & Raspberry Pi
Using KNX, CODESYS & Raspberry Pi, we have managed to control the lights of the Laboratories of the 2nd Laboratory Center of Volos in Greece. The platform CODESYS joins the devices of KNX and a Raspberry Pi, and the software ETS and CODESYS have been used to program all the devises (KNX and Raspberry Pi ) with a unique and simple way.
This project has been created in Automation Laboratory of the 2nd Laboratory Center of Volos In Greece, with assistant of the students of the Automation sector, during the 2023 for educations reasons.
The basic idea was to put the CODESYS platform and Raspberry Pi under the umbrella of KNX.
