Description détaillée

Energy Efficiency

The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Innovation

Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Description des clients

The 139 Greys Ave project is a redevelopment of the central Auckland site for Kāinga Ora (Housing New Zealand). This development is extremely important to the client as it will be the first large scale, single site housing redevelopment in New Zealand. This innovative complex will provide 276 apartments, shared cooking and eating areas, recreation and learning space, gardens, and medical facilities for people with complex needs. The design narrative for the building is based on a taniwha named Horotiu, who wraps around the building, protecting the occupants whilst returning their mana to them. Once completed, this complex will support and provide permanent accommodation for those that haven't had a welcoming home to go to in the past. It will also give them access to 24/7 onsite wraparound support services.
