Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation
Innovation
Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Description des clients
The aim of the project was to renovate and obtain a suite of 70 square meters within a residence, and it was important not only the functionality and management, but also the aesthetic impact of the area. First, a management/control system for the HVAC system was included, consisting of radiant floor panels and ceiling fancoils; then the creation of an OFF on all lights and shutters on a single button near the entrance door of the suite. These were then joined by the ability to manage the area remotely as well using smartphones, tablets and PCs.
Later, the system in the suite was "extended": the KNX line, initially composed of 20 devices, was also used to connect devices intended for the recording studio. In this area, however, the primary application was lighting; almost all the lighting points were made dimmable and many of them adjustable in both intensity and color.
