Energy Efficiency

The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Innovation

Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Description des clients

This project has been a fantastic experience for us. We implemented it with just five ABB devices: HS/S 3.1, SA/S 12.10.1, SV/S 30.160.5, and two US/U 4.2.For more than 12 years, we have been controlling the workplace lighting without any physical switche. The on/off control of the brightness sensor, linked to the shop’s rolling shutter via the US/U module, turns lights on when the shutter is open and natural light is low, and deactivates when closed Employees are no longer distracted by lighting and can stay fully focused on their work and this sulotin is economic for my employer.We installed this brightness sensor outside. Despite the extreme heat of Yazd city, the sensor has been reliably operating for over 12 years — a clear proof of KNX and ABB product durability. It is worth mentioning that we have already prepared the key KNX infrastructure for future extensions, even though it has not yet been used. Our employer is extremely satisfied.
