Description détaillée

Energy Efficiency

The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Innovation

Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Description des clients

This 170 m² private residence in Rumia, Poland serves as a continuously evolving smart home showroom and testing environment, developed since 2022. The installation is based on over 65 KNX devices forming a stable backbone responsible for lighting, shading, HVAC and ventilation control. A Control4 system provides the user interface layer, managing scenes, schedules and the entire audio/video distribution. The project integrates multiple systems including KNX, Control4, Mitsubishi HVAC via Intesis, Velux roof windows, and SATEL access control. Advanced automation is based on presence detection and environmental data, enabling adaptive lighting and climate control. Over time, the system has been optimized to reduce manual interaction, demonstrating how a modern smart home can evolve into a fully automated, user-centric environment.
