Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation
Innovation
Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Overlooking the majestic Mt. Asama in Karuizawa, this newly built
villa — designed by +ak design — is crafted from stone and wood to
harmonize with its natural surroundings. Inside, a refined sequence
of spaces unfolds: from an intimate wine cellar to a lodge-like
living area, each transition guided by carefully composed light
and music.
Woven into the experience is playful, effortless automation.
Tap a single button, and the living room transforms into a private
cinema — curtains draw, lights fade, and the screen descends,
leaving guests free to lose themselves in the film. In the grill
kitchen, a luminous translucent stone wall glows and shifts between
cool and warm tones, adding atmosphere to every meal and moment shared.
This is Karuizawa at its finest: a retreat where thoughtful
automation becomes part of the experience itself, turning every
stay into something worth returning for.
