Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation
Innovation
Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Description des clients
Hollenderhaugen skolesenter is a new educational centre developed by Rogaland County Municipality and Berg Eiendom AS on the site of a former dairy facility in Haugesund. The project combines a new three-storey school building with the preserved “Fyrhuset” from the 1960s, maintaining the site’s industrial heritage.
The school provides adapted education for pupils in social and medical institutions (SMI), including primary and upper secondary students who require small groups and tailored support. It also includes a hospital school linked to Haugesund Hospital and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, as well as UngInvest for young people aged 16–24. Shared facilities such as a canteen and outdoor areas support inclusion and community use.
Arkitecht delivered an integrated smart building platform combining lighting, climate control, access, room booking, and energy management into one unified system, enabling efficient operation, improved comfort, and reduced energy use.
