Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation
Innovation
Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Description des clients
Carrwood is an 8,000 sq ft luxury residential project in the North of England, designed as a fully integrated smart home with KNX at its core. KNX was used to unify lighting, HVAC, shading, security, access control and AV integration into one intelligent, decentralised platform. The project incorporates approximately 150 dimmed lighting circuits, zoned underfloor heating and air conditioning, automated curtains, gate and garage control, and alarm integration all using KNX devices. Premium Ekinex 20Venti and Signum keypads provide intuitive whole-home control through a consistent user interface.KNX’s manufacturer-independent standard enabled seamless integration with Control4, combining building automation and audio-visual systems into one cohesive experience. The result is a highly automated yet effortless home, delivering comfort, energy efficiency, scalability and exceptional user acceptance. Carrwood has since become one of the region’s most recognised smart home projects.
