The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Home automation project for a business class apartments in the central part of the city. Automation system includes individual and central light control based on the current sunlight brightness, time of the day room occupancy and schedules, zoned climate with automatic heating/cooling changeover and setpoint reset by outside temperature, scheduled shades control and sun protection functions. Gira G1 panels and Gira HomeServer are used for user interface, remote control and complex logic functions.
