Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation
Innovation
Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Description des clients
Ao Tawhiti Unlimited Discovery sole reason for existence is to provide a place and the resources for our students to learn what they want, the way that they want, in their own time, and in the right place for the learning to occur.
Taking the above in account, our task was to provide fully automated KNX system with large number of flexibilities. At the same time request for energy efficiency, safety and integration with other systems (BMS, Security, screens…) was imperative.
A GUI with comprehensive floor layout depicting all installed devices with possibility for any of them to be manually operated, alarmed (if any device is faulty or communication lost), calculated energy usage logged, tested and reported. All alarming & reporting is completed via e-mails. The GUI is in stalled on a server and could be accessed by any smart device inside or outside of school (with sufficient credentials)
