Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. The Saint John Eye Hospital – Nablus branch required a smart automation system to improve energy efficiency, patient comfort, and operational ease. KNX was the ideal solution, integrating DALI lighting for customizable clinic ambiance while optimizing energy use. The system also controlled the VRF air conditioning, ensuring precise temperature adjustments for a consistently comfortable environment. In public areas, KNX-managed switching lights and occupancy sensors minimized energy waste. Medical staff used intuitive KNX touch panels for effortless lighting and climate control. This centralized system enhanced efficiency, reduced costs, and created a well-managed, patient-friendly space. The project showcases KNX as a future-proof, sustainable solution for modern healthcare.
