Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation
Innovation
Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Description des clients
Moavegen Bofellesskap is a health-care facility with 2 floors and 1000m2. It consists of 5 apartments and a common area in the middle in the 1.floor, and in the basement there are technical rooms and storage space. The building has been totally renovated, so all the technical installation is new. The lights are now controlled by KNX and DALI, with control by means of pushbuttons and motion detectors. The heating system is a combination of radiators and underfloor, all of them controlled by KNX thermostats and actuators. The KNX system is connected to the firealarm, so in case of fire all the lighting is switched on, the sunprotection is raised and the technical outlets for coffee-timers is switched off. Gira Homeserver is used in the project, so the maintenance staff can monitor and adjust the building from a smartphone.
