Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Description des clients
Selbu Sykehjem is a nursing home of 10.000 m2. It has 52 nursing beds and also houses most of the healthcare functions in Selbu. In this installation KNX is used for controlling lighting, heating, ventilation (VAV) and sunprotection. All the lighting is controlled by DALI, and the corridorlights are also HCL which means that the colortemperature is adjusted to simulate the natural daylight. This is done by a HCL Scheduler that sends out telegram with temperature each minute to KNX/DALI. The heating in this building is mostly based on floorheating (water). This is controlled by KNX thermostats and valveactuators. Ventilation (VAV) is also controlled by KNX, this is done by combining temperature/co2/movement which controls the VAV actuators.
