Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation
Innovation
Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Description des clients
Brønnøysund DMS is a new hospital to serve the 13.000 residents in 6 municipalities in Sør-Helgeland. The hospital building consists of 3 floors with a total area of 2900m2. Here all of the outpatient treatment is performed, along with treatments for heart-failure, kidney-failure, diabetes etc. They also have diagnostics like x-ray, ct-scan, ultrasound and laboratory services. In this installation KNX is used for controlling lighting, heating, ventilation, fancoil and security functions like water-leakage. All the lighting is controlled by DALI controlled by movement sensors and local switches. The heating is based on floorheating and radiators (water), this is controlled by KNX thermostats and valveactuators/motorvalves. Ventilation (VAV) is also controlled by KNX, this is done by combining temperature/co2/movement which controls the VAV actuators.
