Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation
Innovación
Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

This project aims to create a modern, energy-efficient, and accessible building that incorporates part of the Almohad-era cultural heritage.
The project has been funded by the European Union through the Next Generation program, with a total investment of €2.8 million.
The building achieves energy savings of over 30% thanks to its insulation system, photovoltaic system, and geothermal system.
The Building Management System (BMS) controls the entire KNX equipment system, providing reports and statistics.
The project interacts with the public, who can view real-time energy savings achieved throughout the day, month, and year.
The historical and cultural legacy is vital for maintaining tourism in the region. Therefore, the building has been designed to host events, highlighting its Almohad wall with different lighting sequences and color changes on the building's facade.
