Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Our project deserves nomination for the KNX Sustainability Award due to its strong focus on energy efficiency and environmental impact reduction. By utilizing KNX technology, we’ve created a smart automation system that intelligently manages lighting, HVAC, and shading based on real-time data such as occupancy, natural light, and temperature. This approach ensures optimal energy use, reduces waste, and significantly lowers both energy costs and CO₂ emissions. The flexibility of KNX allowed us to integrate various systems seamlessly, adapt to user behavior, and future-proof the building for upcoming sustainability demands. Our project stands as a model of how KNX can enable greener, smarter buildings.
