Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Am Elektroenergiemarkt treten immer mehr Anbieter auf, die ihre Energiepreise flexibel entsprechend den Großmarktpreisen gestalten. Diese stündlichen Preise werden am Vortag den Kunden bekanntgegeben.
In dieser Diplomarbeit wurde ein Modellhaus mit verschiedenen elektrischen Verbrauchern wie Wärmepumpe, E-Ladestation, Warmwasserboiler, Poolpumpe, erstellt, die alle über KNX angesteuert werden. Für die Strompreisautomatik wurde ein eigener Server programmiert, der sowohl die Eingangsseite (automatischer Abruf der Preisdaten) als auch die Ausgangsseite (KNX) bedient und mit Hilfe entsprechender Logarithmen die optimalen Einschaltzeiten festlegt. Über einen Webserver kann der Benutzer einfach manuell übersteuern und neue Geräte einbinden. Die Programmarchitektur ist modular aufgebaut, sodass sowohl auf der Datenseite (zB. andere Energiedatenstruktur) als auch auf der Verbraucherseite KNX (zB. KNX Secure, IOT) die entsprechenden APIs eingebunden bzw. angepasst werden können.
