Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Taraf Restaurant project showcases a comprehensive KNX-based smart automation solution that highlights the true potential of KNX in commercial applications. The system integrates HVAC, DALI lighting, audio, fire detection, and intrusion alarms into one centralized platform powered by Ilevia X1. All functions are visualized in a single application, providing intuitive control for daily use and advanced scenarios tailored to cleaning, operation hours, seasonal changes, and time-based events. Remote access enables the owner to monitor and manage the restaurant anytime, while real-time notifications ensure immediate awareness of fire, intrusion, refrigeration, and temperature events. This high level of integration not only improves energy efficiency and safety but also creates a seamless and comfortable environment, setting a benchmark for smart building automation in the hospitality sector.
