Customers Description
A 13-floor administrative building exceeding 5,000 m² with 18 meeting rooms in Cairo's Doukky District was fully automated using a KNX/IP infrastructure managed by five Schneider SpaceLynk controllers. The network spans 678 KNX devices across one area and 11 lines. Lighting is handled by 24 DALI Pro gateways controlling 1,136 ECGs, with 69 DALI and 282 KNX presence sensors enabling daylight harvesting and occupancy-based zone control. Climate is managed by 174 fan coil actuators and 58 Daikin VRV interfaces responding dynamically to real-time occupancy data. Users control scenes and set-points via 156 wall keypads and thermostats. The open KNX standard enabled seamless integration of DALI and BACnet protocols, reducing commissioning time across all floors. Energy data contributed directly to the building's LEED certification submission, confirming measurable sustainability impact beyond operational comfort.
