Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Customers Description
The production site consists of 40 buildings with different equipment. Due to the sudden increase in energy prices in recent years, the operation of the uncontrolled heating system has become very expensive. After a return calculation, the client decided in favor of the investment. The site was divided into 5 regions. The domain couplers are IP routers and are connected to each other on an industrial WLAN network. A TP network was implemented within the provinces. Nearly 200 radiator controls, 29 Mitsubishi air conditioning fittings and 17 fan-coils and quite a few black radiators were integrated. The facility is served by 9 Sanier Duval (Vaillant) gas boilers. Each engine room received an independent (Siemens) KNX automation system. Energy waste is controlled by nearly 650 window and door opening sensors. For operations, the intervention is provided by Netx visualization.
