Detailed Description

Energy Efficiency

The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Innovation

Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Customers Description

Designed by TAKENAKA CORPORATION, this nine-story building in central Tokyo integrates natural light, community and views through stacked cubic volumes containing a clinic, offices, and residences. The design progressively opens upward, creating transparency between interior spaces and the city balancing privacy and public interaction. A KNX system from 8 premium brands serves as its invisible intelligence to maximize the design. In the clinic, tunable lighting, electrochromic glass and music shift the atmosphere between clinical focus and patient calm. Throughout the residential floors, scene lighting, climate, motorized shading, and audio compose an environment of quiet refinement — from the living rooms to the bedroom, and up to a penthouse terrace where an automated pool rests in serene proximity to the Imperial Palace greenery. The invisible intelligence integrates the building's diverse activities into a tranquil environment.
