Customers Description
Liostasi is the top hotel of Ios island located in the Cyclades complex. The plan was to build rooms of high end design and comfort. The rooms have an open space concept and because of their volume, many lights had to be installed. The conventional installation would damage the design due to many switches. Also, the complexity would be too high for a guest. KNX came to the rescue to simplify room operation by clear and intuitive functions. Despite the many lighting circuits plus rollers and curtains, room operation is kept simple based on scenes. The user can control the dimming level of the lighting scene revealing the room as the interior designer’s vision. A/C operation is kept simple and bidirectional because it can be controlled both by the KNX and the A/C remote with every system to affecting the other. The reception knows when the room is occupied and the technical department if an A/C has problem before this becomes detectable by the user. A true 5 star hotel concept.
