Energy Efficiency

The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Customers Description

This project consists of three separate buildings, all connected through one unified KNX automation system. KNX IP is used for communication between the buildings, while KNX TP and KNX RF solutions are implemented within the buildings themselves. Almost all core control functions are handled through KNX, creating a reliable and well-coordinated foundation for the entire estate. At the same time, many additional systems are integrated into the project. The main visualization and user interface are based on SAVANT, which works together with KNX to provide seamless control of the audio/video system and other functions. The project also includes a custom-made solution for controlling the height of a basketball hoop, using a three-phase motor with a frequency converter and an outdoor KNX RF switch for user commands. HVAC systems are also integrated, including ventilation units, underfloor heating, and a jacuzzi, all working together as one harmonized automation system.
