Basalte designs and manufactures high-end, touch-sensitive light switches for building automation systems. Because KNX is the biggest building automation standard, it was obvious to start designing switches for the KNX system. Basalte presented its new range of products at the Light+Building in Frankfurt last April and was awarded a Design Plus award for the Sentido range. Sentido was recently also awarded with a Red Dot Award for product design and was nominated by the German Design Council for the Design Price.
