Amerikalinjen is a historic building. Here the journey began for thousands of hopeful Norwegians. They were going to travel with Amerikalinjen to the land of opportunity. The Norwegian America Line’s venerable headquarters opened their doors in 1919. Recently renovated and now currently rated no.1 Hotel in Northern Europe by Condé Nast Traveller’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards, and chosen by TIME Magazine as one of The World's Greatest Places To Stay 2019, to mention some.
The hotel consists of 122 superior rooms, controlled by 2600 KNX devices. Thanks to fully customizable touch switches and thermostats, matching the aesthetics of the interior, and even their own smartphones and tablets, guests can enjoy the light scenes, audio, precise climate control and cardless presence detection, among other facilities. When entering the room, a defined light scene is set dependent on time of day. The reception has full control of every detail with the booking integrated BMS system.
