Customers Description
NOT A HOTEL SETOUCHI is a collection of three ultra-luxury private villas located on Sakishima Island in the Seto Inland Sea, Japan, designed by world-renowned architecture firm BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group). Each villa — 180, 270, and 360 — spans over 700㎡ including terraces and private courtyards, accommodating up to 10 guests.
KNX serves as the backbone of the building automation system across all three villas, integrating lighting, climate, and environmental controls into a seamless digital experience.
Reflecting NOT A HOTEL's philosophy of radical design, there are no physical switches anywhere in the property. All controls are operated through a proprietary iPad app and voice UI, made possible by KNX's open-protocol interoperability with third-party platforms.
