Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Customers Description
KNX simply fits into energy management needs. As the smart homes are building blocks of smart cities and the future Smart Grid, we decided to model a Zero Energy Smart Home using KNX powerful devices to manage and save the energy. Thanks to weather station and low power consumption senors, it is possible to detect real energy needs and use the natural energy sources (eg. Sun light, sun heat,...) to reduce the need to other energy sources. As the project is working now (November 2017) the updated results will be added soon. Also, all of the steps of project is done by fresh KNX partners.
